Réponse : Phrasal verbs/correction de gerondif, postée le 31-10-2017 à 10:28:45 (S | E)
Bonjour
I like reading, I enjoy swimming, I love diving, I dislike waiting, I can't stand eating bone marrow, etc...
I am interested in, fond of, keen on, mad about, crazy about reading;
Ok.
MAIS si c'est quelque chose que l'on n'a jamais fait , on met l'infinitif, la preuve avec I would like:
I love visiting new countries. I would like to visit Russia.
I would love to meet her.
I wouldn't like to swim in that dirty canal.
Donc, pour prefer:
I prefer swimming to rock-climbing.
Mais:
If you don't like shopping, would you prefer to go to the cinema instead ?(occasion unique, choix unique)
This afternoon, do you prefer to go swimming or to go shopping?
Would you rather watch TV or go outside ?
I like to teach in good conditions.
I hate eating!
M: Dinner is served; I want you to come right away
C: I do not enjoy eating!(verbe trop gentil )
Et puis, quand on y réfléchit, à la forme affirmative, on peut graduer, I like walking, I love running, I love swimming, I adore diving, mais quand on n'aime pas, c'est le degré zéro, I don't like eating suffit; Pour dire je n'aime pas bien, on rajoute much: I don't like eating much, I am not too keen on food, I am not that keen on food.
M: You need to eat to grow (up)!
C: I refuse to eat spinach!
M: Do you prefer eating(non, infinitif complet.
M: You must learn to eat everything if you want to grow. !
C: I do not want to grow!
M: Do you prefer to stay(correct!) small?
C: Yes, I want to stay very small.
M: Why do you prefer staying very small?
C: Because I would(j'aurais mis un futur) always like to snuggle in your arms.
always ne va pas et est placé sur le mauvais verbe: à la rigueur, I would like to snuggle in your arms always / for ever, mais ce n'est pas always au sens de continuellement qu'il vous faut mais toujours au sens de encore, I would like to keep snuggling in your arms, / because I love snuggling in your arms and I wish it would never end, I don't want it to stop, I want to be able to keep doing it / because I wish I could keep snuggling in your arms all my life)
C: I promise you to alwaysfor eating loving (horreur!! un infinitif en inf!!)you, but promise me to eat a little.
C: Kay Mom! I promise you to grow up, but just
M: we agree for eating little peas!
C: we agree for always loving us! (us ne va pas, ce serait each other, l'un l'autre)
Alors les trois pour !
I am here to help you: Je suis là pour vous aider. to + inf = pour, notion de but
(Il faut d'autant plus se méfier que la question est: What are you here for ? I am here to help you ; What ...for signifie dans quel but)
This present is for my sister: for + nom: complément d'attribution (vocabulaire des années soixante-dix, désolé)
Thanks for helping me: merci de m'avoir aidé, for + ing = cause.
he was arrested for speeding: pour excès de vitesse.
to agree se construit avec l'infinitf: He agreed to come.
So, are we ready to eat those peas now ?
ah, un avec for :Are we in the mood for eating those peas now ?
So, do we have a deal to eat those peas now ?
En plus frime "Shall we accept to eat those peas now ?"
En phrase simple: Do you agree to eat those peas now ?
Will you come round to eating those peas now ?
Et pour la dernière
We agree to love each other for ever (and a day, si vous voulez rajouter de l'humour)
A la Churchill: WE SHALL

Hello,
M: Dinner is served; I want you to come right away
C: Oh Mum, you know I don’t like eating much! Oh Mum, you know I'm not too keen on food, I don't like eating")
M: You need to eat to grow!
C: I refuse to eat spinach!
M: Do you prefer peas?
C: I hate eating peas!
M: You must learn to eat everything if you want to grow. !
C: I do not want to grow!
M: Do you prefer to stay small?
C: Yes, I want to stay very small.
M: Why do you prefer staying(non ing est faux) very small?
C: Because I love snuggling in your arms and I don’t want it to stop .
C: I am here to love you but promise me to eat a little.
C: Okay Mom! I promise you to grow up, but just a little bit.
M: Do you agree to eat those peas now?
C: Yes, I do, and we also agree to love each other for ever don’t we?
M: Yes, we shall love each other for ever and a day !
