Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right answer.
The numbers of vowels are still given.
1- A large piece of land owned by one person or a group of people etc. ..... (t t s) 3
2- A thin thread, one of those twisted together to form rope, string, knitted-wool etc, or a long thin lock of hair. ..... (d s n t r) 1
3- Boring and continuing for a long time. ..... (d s t) 4
4- To mix or throw together without order. ..... (m j l b) 2
5- Calm and not easily disturbed or upset. ..... (c p d l) 2
6- Pleasantly old or strange, especially because of being old-fashioned. ..... (t q n) 3
7- To move rapidly (round, away etc). ..... (h l w r) 1
8- An area of low marshy land often covered with water. ..... (n f) 1
9- To busy oneself (often noisily or fussily). ..... (t b s l) 2
10- Very cheap. ..... (t p d c r h -) 3

2- A thin thread, one of those twisted together to form rope, string, knitted-wool etc, or a long thin lock of hair.(d s n t r) 1 strand = mèche.
3- Boring and continuing for a long time. (d s t) 4 tedious = ennuyeux.
4- To mix or throw together without order. (m j l b) 2 jumble = mélanger.
5- Calm and not easily disturbed or upset. (c p d l) 2 placid = serein.
6- Pleasantly old or strange, especially because of being old-fashioned. (t q n) 3 quaint = au charme désuet.
7- To move rapidly (round, away etc). (h l w r) 1 whirl = tourbillonner.
8- An area of low marshy land often covered with water. (n f) 1 fen = marais, marécage.
9- To busy oneself (often noisily or fussily). (t b s l) 2 bustle = agitation.
10- Very cheap. (t p d c r h -) 3 dirt cheap = vraiment pas cher.
