Lettre de motivation

Bonjour,
Je suis étudiant et je tente en ce moment de postuler dans différentes entreprises pour réaliser un stage cet été.
L'épreuve fatidique de l'écriture de la lettre de motivation est bien sûr arrivée... L'exercice étant périlleux, je me permets de vous demander aide, conseils et correction sur ce que je viens d'écrire :
I am doing studies in Hydrography in order to get a double diploma from my engineering school in France and from XXXX in Germany. I am currently in my first year of master and I would like to do before an internship in (COMPANY'S NAME) during the summer 2011.My school background allows me to understand theoretical problematics quickly but also allows me to have experimental skills.
Particularly because I have already made several hydrographic projects which contained the entire process of how to make a map from the gather of measures until the edition of the final chart.
I am very interested by your company because I would like to discover the work of hydrogaphic surveyor in a company which is international, competitive, innovative and which uses equipements at the forefront of the technology and yours has these characteristics in my point of view. I am particularly interested by doing an internship on board a ship.
